Muis Halal Competency Assessment (HCA)

Studyworks is authorised by the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) to conduct the Halal Competency Assessment (HCA). We conduct computer-based testing for the HCA.

Please note that the test duration is 90 minutes, consisting of 50 questions.

What to bring to the test centre

Bring your Physical ID eg. NRIC, work permit card, or passport.

Singpass cannot be accepted as your ID must be on the table during your test. Handphones and electronic devices are not allowed inside the test room.

Where can I study for the assessment?

Free resources in both English and Malay are available at the Muis website below.

Some individuals may also wish to register themselves with training academies that provide training courses. As Studyworks is an exam centre, we are unable to recommend any specific school or Halal consultant.

We also do not conduct any training courses nor are we able to advise on the policies regarding Halal certification.
